(to crave is to desire something very much)
2. Martha is very good at "diffusing" difficult situations. (diffusing is a way to calm down the confusion and chaos of some situations - like diffusing a bomb)
3. Everyone is "thrilled" to bits that Joe was so successful in competition. (thrilled is so happy so excited)
